(Trans)Gender 101: An Online Offering from Kirkridge
With Robin Gow
March 27, 2025
Gender is in the news. The word “gender” appears on a list of words banned from federal websites and reports. (So do the words “female” and “women,” though, tellingly, not “men” or “male.”) The existence of transgender people is being disappeared, including at the Stonewall National Monument and on passports and government documents. Transgender people are being denied needed healthcare.
If you are reading this, chances are you are someone who wants to side with love and caring and solidarity, but maybe you feel ill-equipped. Maybe you have questions.
This online overview is a place where you can bring those questions that maybe you know you shouldn’t ask your transgender neighbor but that you wonder about, nonetheless.
Join us on Zoom Thursday afternoon at 4:30 ET/3:30 CT/ 2:30 MT/1:30 PT for this interactive Gender 101 presentation.
Register to receive the Zoom link.
This retreat is offered on a donation basis, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. A donation ask will be made at the event to support the McNeil/Mollenkott fund for LGBTQ+ projects at Kirkridge.
