Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center is offering three mini-retreats in support of teachers and the many others serving in that role during this pandemic. With great gratitude for your work in the world, we invite you to register for any one or all three.

Marian David offers Sustaining the Soul that Teaches as a gift to support those with the courage to teach, to explore practices to sustain them. Marian created Sustaining the Soul that Serves as she worked with college students teaching in the Children’s Defense Fund Summer Freedom Schools. As she directed the Freedom School program, Marian quickly discerned that her young teachers were burning out, often lacking a deeper understanding of how to do the inner work that would sustain them. Marian has had many years of experience in public schools as a teacher and guidance counselor.
