Homeward Bound: Exploring Places of the Heart
Saturday, Nov 13, 1-2:30 pm EST

As the holidays approach and thoughts of going, staying and being home abound, this Renewal and Wholeness Circle seeks to open a space to consider what home means to you at this moment in time. Film maker Robert Benton speaks of places that we “hold sacred in our heart,” the people, locations, and experiences that leave indelible marks. Maya Angelou suggests “the ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.”  Center for Renewal and Wholeness  facilitators Katie O’Brien and William K. Grevatt invite you to name and claim what constitutes home for you in this season of your life.

Katie O’Brien has served Rio Hondo Community College in Whittier, California as a counselor, professor, and Staff Development coordinator for over 30 years and was named the 2018 “Distinguished Faculty Member of the Year.”  Prepared as a facilitator by the Center of Wholeness and Renewal in Higher Education in 2003, she has co-created and facilitated over 30 “Reflection & Renewal” (R & R) retreats and sessions over the past 15+years.

William (Bill ) Grevatt, Ed.D. is an educator and Jungian analyst practicing in Los Angeles. He is a training analyst and Executive Director of the C. G. Jung Study Center of Southern California, one of a dozen Jungian training institutes in North America. He has been a facilitator of Reflection & Renewal retreats for over 15 years, and incorporates these practices into his Jungian work and presentations.
