Fall 2020 Kirkridge Program Schedule

OCTOBER 2020

Wednesday, October 21st, 4:30-6pm EDT
Circle of Trust®: Roots: Grounding and Nourishment with Tate Thriffiley and Susan Nodurft
The paradox of fall arrives with warm summer days giving way to the coolness of a new season. The natural world appears to prepare for rest as seeds of new life are spread among the falling leaves. You are invited to join a gentle mindful movement and breath practice for rooting and grounding into the present moment and into the season of Autumn. The soft movements will be followed by reflection and sharing.

Monday, October 26th, 3-4pm EDT
Kirkridge Check-in with Jean and Justine
A discussion about the present realities and future possibilities of Kirkridge Retreat & Study Center.

Wednesday, October 28th, 7-8:30pm EDT (Last Wednesday of Sept-Nov)
Coddiwomple in Story and Song with Diane Petteway and Jim Sims

Come Coddiwomple in the Kirkridge Zoom Room with Kirkridge Board members and musicians Diane Petteway and Jim Sims.  We will travel in a purposeful manner, through music and story towards nowhere in particular, seeking laughter and comfort in community.

Monday, November 16th, 3-4pm EDT
Zentangle® with Hilary Smith

The Zentangle® method is an easy to learn, nonrepresentational, meditative drawing form which allows the participant to access the visually creative part of the brain. Using structured patterns that rely on simple shapes, beautiful artwork quickly emerges.

Wednesday, November 18th, 4:30-6pm EDT
Circle of Trust®: Rest, Resilience, and Renewal with Dale Skaggs and Allison Campbell
As the season slips Autumn into Winter, the forest prepares to rest by moving energy into its unseen roots. Stored in the darkness underground is the source of its resilience through the bitter winter and the power of its renewal in Spring. We will consider how we too must find a way to rest, gathering the energy and power of personal resilience to support our own renewal of vision and purpose.
