A POSITIVE APPROACH TO DEMENTIA
Maria Kelly
Sept 20 and 27, 2012
9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

A positive approach to dementia focuses on nurturing the many remaining abilities of people living with dementia rather than on the losses and challenges they experience.  When those involved in the partnership of caring adopt this glass-half-full approach, people living with dementia are enabled to grow and flourish as their journey unfolds.
A two-part program for pastors, caregivers and friends.

$45.00 each day, lunch included

Jean Richardson
Oct 4, Nov 1, Dec 6, 2012
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

“When I am liberated by silence, when I am no longer involved in the measurement of life, but in the living of it, I can discover a form of prayer in which there is effectively no distraction.  My whole life becomes a prayer.  My whole silence is full of prayer.  The world of silence in which I am immersed contributes to my prayer.” – Thomas Merton

Join us for a day of silence.  The day will begin with readings and close with a circle of gratitude. Bring reading material, journals and whatever else you need to enter into a personal quiet space.

$35.00, lunch included
