TIP — Together It’s Possible — is a group of families dreaming of and working toward new possibilities for cognitively challenged young adults living in the Slate Belt of northeastern Pennsylvania. The Slate Belt is an area of Northampton County north of the Allentown/Bethlehem hub, and encompasses the communities of Bangor, East Bangor, Mount Bethel, Lower Mount Bethel, Upper Mount Bethel, Pen Argyl, Roseto, Washington Township and Wind Gap.
TIP’s goal is to educate parents, provide support for families, and advocate for change — in access, in opportunities, and in outmoded ways of thinking.
If you are concerned about your son or daughter and are wondering what opportunities and options are available for them as they move into adulthood, please join us at our monthly potluck dinners for more casual conversations, food -- and fun.
Please help us spread the word about TIP at Kirkridge: You can do so by sharing our website and potluck information with friends and families in the Slate Belt area, inviting people to "LIKE" us on facebook and by sharing our new TIP slideshow and video. Let's get the word out! Remember...."Together It's Possible!"
