Bread for the Journey: A Celebration of Poetry and the Human Spirit
is designed to embrace the power of both poetry and place as it focuses on the unique and special ways poetry has long served the hungers of the human heart for community and for sharing the rich and joyful news that poetry can bring.

About the 2013 Bread for the Journey retreat participants have said:

“The Quality of the guest speakers and workshops cultivated the emotional and intellectual food we lived off of beyond the days spent there . . . . Our time felt sacred.” DN

“ A most renewing and inspiring experience.” LLK

“Even though I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for, it was exactly what I was looking for.” MKB

“I came to understand that poetry matters and is a powerful force for making our world saner, kinder, richer and possibily7 worth risking everything to save.” KS
