At Kirkridge, we recognize that the setting for your gathering matters. Over the years, thousands of guests have come here to find connection, celebrate milestones, seek justice, plan actions, worship, gain new perspective, and cultivate right relationship with the forest, stones, and waters. 

The energy of all that good intention is palpable as you walk our paths and gather around our fireplaces. Come celebrate, strategize, rest, learn, or reflect amidst our majestic trees, lush pond,
stone labyrinth, and rustic, cozy buildings. 

Let us welcome you and your family, friends, movement organization, church group, or work team to our gorgeous mountain. Large or small, we want to make your gathering a success.

We also offer a variety of optional services for your gathering, such as wedding officiation, ritual planning, spiritual direction, antiracist spiritual accompaniment, massage, and ancestral lineage healing.

Our Facilities

Beautiful Locations for Rent Year-Round

Each site at Kirkridge is unique in their amenities and layouts. Below you will find more information on each one and learn the history of it’s place here in the mountains with us.

The regular cost of our rentals is $80 per person per night, though during the off season (July and early August, because our bedrooms are not air-conditioned), the cost is $65 per night. There is generally a minimum number of guests that you must pay for, depending upon the building you choose. Contact us for a quote! We do not currently provide meals, though we can provide a list of local caterers.

Nelson Lodge

Nelson Lodge is the uppermost of our facilities, and both the meeting room and the dining room offer scenic mountain views and gorgeous sunsets. Gather around the large stone fireplace, circle up on the large wooden deck, or venture out to hike a portion of the adjacent Appalachian Trail. A freestanding efficiency cottage next to the lodge was the favorite home-away-from-home of the renowned priest and activist Fr. Daniel Berrigan.

  • Fully equipped kitchen
  • Functional stone fireplace in the dining room
  • Large meeting room with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside
  • Another large meeting room with beautiful views, plus a common room in the upper sleeping area
  • Rooms with twin beds
  • All bathrooms are single-stall and gender neutral

Accessibility: There are no steps to access the meeting room, dining room, or five of the sleeping rooms. Lower-level sleeping rooms are accessed by 10 steps. Three bathrooms have grab bars. Amplified sound is available.

Turning Point

Set amidst a grove of trees with nearby access to the Appalachian Trail, Turning Point offers stunning vistas overlooking rivers and forest from high on the mountain. Host friends and family in the elegant dining room, gather in one of our indoor or outdoor meeting areas, visit the beautiful nearby memorial garden, or simply sit on a bench to take in the view.

  • Large meeting room with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside
  • Fully equipped Kitchen
  • Functional stone fireplace in the dining room
  • Room with twin or double beds
  • Additional efficiency apartment
  • Most bathrooms are single- stall and gender neutral; in the one set of gendered restrooms,  everyone is welcome to use the bathroom of the gender they identify with

Accessibility: There is a ramp to access the main meeting space. The dorms are accessed via a longer, gently sloping walkway. Seven of the bedrooms are on the main level, with no stairs required to access them. There are two large restrooms with grab rails, also on that main level. The dining room is also accessible via a gently sloped walkway. Amplified sound is available.

The Farmhouse

Dating from 1815, the Farmhouse combines authentic farmhouse coziness with ample indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. Enjoy a delicious meal in the original-wood dining room as the giant stone fireplace blazes. Strategize, learn, worship, or celebrate in the meeting room with its panoramic views of the pond, trees, and meadow. Walk over to the peace garden, the pond, the labyrinth, or neighboring Columcille Megalith Park.  Sleep soundly in one of the 12 guest rooms to a soft soundtrack of frogs and crickets. The Farmhouse can also be rented in conjunction with our beautiful barn event space.

Accessibility: The farmhouse is accessed by a relatively level paved path; there is one low step up onto the stoop and one into the building. Nine of the bedrooms are on the main level, and two of the single-stall bathrooms on that level have grab bars. Amplified sound is available.

Private Retreats

The Gift of Time & Rest

Throughout the year, we also offer our efficiency apartments and cottage for folks looking for private retreats. Each space has its own kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. You will also find that each space includes internet, a table for writing, a bed with linens, and beautiful views and walking trails.

Let us know if you are interested in booking a retreat. The space is most available on weekdays, but sometimes weekends as well.

The cost is $120 a night.

But as always, let us know if you are really in need of rest and the cost is not affordable for you.
