Auburn Theological Seminary Where religious commitments meet contemporary challenges Since its founding in Auburn, New York in 1818, Auburn Theological Seminary has been in the forefront of educating people to serve God. The Seminary first trained ministers and educators for Presbyterian and other Protestant churches on the American frontier, then for new fields of service in the U.S. and around the world. Following the Great Depression, the seminary moved to New York City to share Union Theological Seminary’s campus. Today Auburn is a dynamic educational institution, a “seminary without borders,” whose programs are rooted in New York City but extend far beyond.

Oikosnet North America~ Oikosnet North America (ONA—formerly NARDA), is a sister organization of the Oikosnet Network, linking regional associations of retreat centers around the world for leadership development, dialogue, and solidarity. ONA is the North American arm of this organization, and brings with it Canadian and U.S. centers, leaders, and people of faith committed to spirituality for global survival, education for global community, and action for global justice.
We do this in three ways:
- Online presence: Our e-news and website provide a resource for centers and leaders seeking support for living their commitments, and bring awareness of international issues to our work and lives.
- Annual Gathering: Meet face to face for support and inspiration with other directors, board members, staff, and individuals dedicated to faith-based retreat work. The Annual Gathering provides a forum for discussing common issues, planning joint projects, and strengthening the network of North American colleagues.
- Global encounter: Through international travel, exchange, and education opportunities with our sister organizations around the world, we seek to develop relationships of solidarity, bringing faith, justice, and community together. See ONA events and the Oikosnet portfolio of programs..

(Mission Statement) Spirit in the Desert Lutheran Retreat Center welcomes people of all faiths to experience the pure beauty of God’s creation in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. The sunsets are breathtaking and the sunrises are announced by the calls of the Cactus Wren and Gambel’s Quail. The majestic Saguaro Cactus grow to 30 – 50 feet, weigh up to 9 tons and live for 150 – 200 years.
Stony Point~ It all began with an open invitation to missionaries on furlough, a cup of hot chocolate, and a fire in the open fireplace: “Come to our home, enjoy the gardens, and renew your spirit!” Thus, about 150 years ago, a ministry of hospitality was shaped by four daughters of a Presbyterian minister. The mission of Stony Point Center, Broadening Hospitality, Deepening Vocation, not only captures the legacy of early history but mandates the service provided by this national conference center of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Tatamagouche Centre~ Overlooking Tatamagouche Bay where two rivers merge, our year-round education, retreat and conference centre is a natural gathering place in a relaxed and picturesque setting. We present over 50 programs each year, host over 100 groups, and offer self-contained, private retreat space.
